Polish composer nominated for a Golden Globe

It’s a great day for film music lovers – the Polish composer Abel Korzeniowski will, for the second time, be in competition for a Golden Globe award in the Best Music category. This time, the artist has been nominated for his score for the film W.E. by Madonna. Those who will be competing with Korzeniowski for the prestigious statuette are  Ludovic Bource (The Artist), John Williams (War Horse), Trent Reznor (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Howard Shore (Hugo), another personality well known to Krakow audiences.

Last year, Abel Korzeniowski was nominated for a Golden Globe for his music for the film A Single Man by Tom Ford.

Abel Korzeniowski is today one of the most acclaimed Polish composers in the world, with a successful career in Hollywood. In Poland he is known for his music scores for Jerzy Stuhr’s films, Duże zwierzę and Pogoda na jutro.
